I recently set Retroarch up to use Mednafen PSX core. I had a few technical issues along the way, but it was finally fixed with a manual update of the core. However, now mednafen refuses to recognise memory card files (.mcr) in every game. It's creating the.mcr files whenever I create a save in game, in the same directory as the roms. So “epsxe000.mcr” is memory card 1 and “epsxe001.mcr” is memory card 2. So let's say the other PSX emulator calls its memory card file “memcard1.mcr”. Just rename “epsxe000.mcr” to that same filename. You can learn more about transferring saves in my Game Saves Tutorial. Note: You cannot transfer ePSXe save states to another PSX. Jan 30, 2014 Once frozen, I can pull out the PocketStation and insert a standard SCPH-1020 memory card and it will resume reading the new card successfully. Other devices like: Xplorer ROM 4.52, Caetla ROM 0.34 & PS1 7502 BIOS recognise it and read/write ok.

Program to read and write from a playstation memory card, save games as files, load games from files, and write it back to a memory card. Everything is done with a qt gui. Requires building an hardware interface to communicate with the memory card. Follow PSX Memory Card Manager. Jan 13, 2020 MemcardRex is a PSX Memory Card explorer/editor. The following Memory Card formats are supported: ePSXe/PSEmu Pro Memory Card(.mcr) DexDrive Memory Card(.gme) pSX/AdriPSX Memory Card(.bin) Bleem!
ePSXe also comes along with memory card support. The used cards are saved in 2 files in your memcards directory. The first one is named epsxe000.mcr and the second one epsxe001.mcr. Each file has a size of 128 KB (which is PSX standard), and the format is simply a dump of real memory cards.
ePSXe doesn't come with a memory card editor, but you can use the option Load -> Run BIOS to get to the real PSX memory card editor, from where you can delete / move savegames. In case you're using Pete's OpenGL / D3D plugins, don't forget to enable offscreen rendering to see this menu correctly.
Starting with version 1.0.1, ePSXe includes a memory card file selector, so you can select which file you want to use in which slot. ePSXe also has support for different memory card file supports, like Dexdrive (.gme), PSEmu Pro (.mc) and several others.
When you'd like to edit your cards, you'll be able to find several tools in the NGEmu's ePSXe download area !
